Brian Gordon
Senior VP of Government Affairs, AOBA
Brian brings extensive legislative and government affairs experience across the Mid-Atlantic. As AOBA’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, he coordinates advocacy efforts across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. His experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors provides valuable connections between the Foundation’s work and the buildings, policymakers, and communities it serves.
Lisa Mallory

Lisa is President & CEO of AOBA, bringing extensive leadership experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She has led national and regional organizations and previously served in senior roles with the District of Columbia government, Fannie Mae Foundation, and ICF International. Her leadership and experience help advance the Foundation’s mission and regional impact.
Chris Pendley
Executive Director, AOBA Foundation for Sustainable Communities
Chris leads the day-to-day work of the AOBA Foundation for Sustainable Communities, bringing extensive experience in sustainability, building systems, policy, and program implementation. Through his work with the built environment, he has helped translate regulations, utility programs, and sustainability goals into practical solutions for individual buildings and communities across the Mid-Atlantic.
Dante Arminio
Sustainability Research Assistant, AOBA Foundation for Sustainable Communities
Dante supports the Foundation’s sustainability efforts through energy data analysis, legislative and regulatory research, and resource development. His previous experience includes work with the DC Department of Energy & Environment, research on air quality monitoring, and legislative work on Capitol Hill. He holds dual degrees in Political Science and Environmental Science from American University.
